The Finance & Investment Society (FIS) is open to all students with an interest in business development and finance. Whether your goal is corporate finance, financial planning or any other professional goal, FIS is designed to help students network with real business professionals in a number of industries.
The Finance & Investment Society is set to hold 9 meetings this fall. Each meeting is presented by a keynote speaker from the business community with the idea of sharing their personal insight into their profession and advice about how to succeed with respect to finance and various industries.
In addition to our weekly meetings, FIS will have a number of social activities and fundraising opportunities for student members. We will also hold another one of its very popular stock investment challenges where students are given the opportunity to compete against other FIS members while exploiting various market inefficiencies.
FIS is a valuable resume builder. The society provides the opportunity to build and grow relationships within the business community of San Diego and beyond. We provide a professional environment which introduces our members to various career opportunities within the finance industry. FIS incorporates four main areas of emphasis including professional development, social interaction, campus involvement and a strong, growing presence in the surrounding community.
