Position Descriptions
Elizabeth Williges
President
A senior at San Diego State, will be graduating in Spring 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. She serves the student body in a leadership role as the Executive Designee to the Associated Students Finance Board and the student representative on the Audit Committee. She is also excited to assist in managing the Aztec Equity Fund this coming year. Elizabeth’s scholastic achievement has enabled her membership in numerous honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma, Gamma Sigma Alpha and Golden Key. She most recently worked as an affiliate accounting intern at Yahoo!, and has previously gained experience in asset management, mergers & acquisitions and financial services.
Alex Wolfe
President Elect
A senior in the Finance program at San Diego State, will be graduating in the Spring of 2010. He recently finished up his first year at SDSU after transferring from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. As a new student, Alex saw FIS as an excellent way to become involved, meet new people, and gain new knowledge of the Finance industry. Alex interned for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney during the Spring 2009 semester, and is currently working as a Public Relations Manager for a sports marketing firm.
Marcus La Salle
VP of Finance
A senior majoring in Finance at San Diego State University, will be graduating in Spring 2010. He recently interned for an International Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked as a Customer Sales and Service Representative at Wells Fargo Bank for 3 years. Marcus has been actively involved in the Associated Students through the University Affairs Board and the Audit Committee. After graduating, he plans to go to Law School and pursue a career in Corporate Law.
Parker Harris
VP of Professional Affairs
Currently a senior at San Diego State and is expected to graduate in the spring of 2010 with a Bachelors in Finance and a minor in Religious Studies. Prior to joining F.I.S, Parker was involved with Delta Sigma Pi, the elite business Fraternity on campus. Parker was selected to participate in the Lavin Program through SDSU’s Entrepreneurial Management Center. He currently works as the Associate Students Sales Manager for the Daily Aztec to get management and sales experience. He is working on several diverse startup projects, including a wine exporting company, online payment processing company, and applications for smart phones. In his free time Parker enjoys sailing, reading, and entrepreneurial related activities.
Andrew Duarte
VP of Operations
A Senior at San Diego State University, will be graduating in May 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the college of business with emphasis in Finance. While at San Diego State he has been an active member in the community, five student organizations and student government. Andrew has sat on the Associated Students facilities board overseeing allocations of university facilities. Soon Andrew will be preparing for his law school entrance exam in hopes to attend law school for the purpose of later becoming an entertainment agent.
Andy Lefkarites
VP of Membership
He enjoys the Southern California lifestyle and all that SDSU has to offer. Andy grew up in San Diego and became passionate about Finance when he started learning about Warren Buffet. At SDSU he is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Finance and Investment Society. He also enjoys trading on the stock market and learning everything he can about investments. Now that he is V.P. Membership of the Finance and Investment Society, he hopes to draw in more students to the meetings and show everyone how FIS can help them.
Zach McBeth
VP of Marketing
Pursuing a bachelors degree in financial services and expects to graduate in December 2009. He has completed a marketing internship that was a collaborative effort between Goodman-Capone and The Rolling Readers to increase the number of community members volunteering at local grade schools. Also, Zach is part of the team at New West Technologies, a green technology federal contracting firm, as an intern to assist with federal stimulus money, small-business budget planning and provide strategic marketing pathways. Zach has grown up in New Zealand, Colorado and Northern California and is now settled in Pacific Beach.
Melissa Feaver
VP of Social Affairs
A senior at San Diego State, will be graduating in Spring 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Prior to joining F.I.S., she was involved with numerous clubs and organizations on campus. Melissa is currently co-captain for the SDSU Dance Team and is an active member of Mortar Board, The University Honors Program, American Marketing Association and the Sports Club Student Council. Her academic success has also enabled her to be a part of Phi Eta Sigma, Golden Key, and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. This past summer she completed an internship at Merrill Lynch and plans to pursue a career in corporate finance upon graduation.
